The Miracle Garden, “Where Children and Families Grow”, was started on a land bank property at 1572 Aberdeen Ave in August 2014 by leaders of The North Linden Community Watch.  Formed in July of 2014, NLCW is a neighborhood wide block watch spanning from Weber to Hudson, Cleveland to McGuffy bringing neighbors together in a grassroots movement to address the presenting problems in their community.  NLCW leaders decided to start a community garden as a vehicle to help achieve their goals.  By the second NLCW meeting, leaders realized children were coming to the meetings for the cookies and punch and they began working with the newly formed Central Health Advisory Council to address the food desert that exists in Linden.    “Our Mission is to build a sense of community and promote better health and nutrition for children and families by introducing them to the excitement of growing produce and flowers”.
